b. Lithgow Busline Services:

The Lithgow Buslines service operates every school day, offering a reliable and convenient option for families. With multiple stops between the Lithgow area and Blackheath, students can travel safely to and from the College without the need for long commutes or complex transfers. The service runs to a consistent timetable, making it easy for families to plan their morning and afternoon routines.

2. Driving to College

For families who prefer to drive, drop-off and pick-up at Mountains Christian College is quick and efficient. Our campus layout allows for smooth traffic flow, meaning no long lines, waiting periods, or congested queues. Parents can arrive, drop off or collect their children, and be back on the road within minutes—making the school run simple and stress-free.

3. Cycling to School

Cycling is a healthy and cost-effective travel option for students living nearby.

What the College provides: A Secure bike parking on campus. A flat arrival area for safe drop-off of bikes.

Safety reminders:

Helmets are compulsory under NSW law.
Bikes must be in good working condition, with lights/reflectors when needed.
Parents should check route safety for younger riders (hills, crossings, traffic).

4. Supplementary School Bus (Limited Stops)

The College operates a free supplementary school bus service for selected Blue Mountains towns. The route runs with limited stops to keep travel efficient.

Important information:

Limited stops: Only designated pickup points are used.
By enquiry only: Families must enquire to be added to the list—this does not guarantee a seat.
Allocation: Seats are offered based on demand and capacity, with families contacted directly.
Safety: Parents must supervise younger students at stop points; students must follow College safety guidelines.

TBC: Astron, 1A Wolgan Rd, Lidsdale (By appointment only)
8:15 am: Small Arms Factory Museum, 69 Methven St, Lithgow
8:20 am: Zig Zag Motel, 70 Chifley Rd, Lithgow

Afternoon Times:

3:45 pm: Lithgow Ford, 75 Chifley Rd, Lithgow
3:50 pm: Small Arms Factory Museum, 69 Methven St, Lithgow
3:55 pm: LINC Neighbourhood Centre (By appointment only)
TBC: Astron, 1A Wolgan Rd, Lidsdale (By appointment only)
4:10 pm: Wallerawang Bakery, 16 Main St Wallerawang
4:25 pm: IGA 2 Cullen St, Portland
